Prohibited & Restricted Businesses
You may not use Kitepay in connection with any of the following. This list is not exhaustive; we may decline any business presenting unacceptable legal, financial or reputational risk.
Prohibited
- Any illegal activity, or the sale of goods/services that infringe the rights of others (counterfeits, IP infringement).
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors; non-consensual content.
- Drugs and controlled substances; drug paraphernalia.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and related components.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or transactions involving sanctioned persons, entities or territories.
- Fraudulent, deceptive or predatory practices — including Ponzi/pyramid schemes, fake references, phishing, account trafficking and stolen-card testing.
- Malware, hacking services and unauthorised access tools.
- Human trafficking, exploitation, or endangerment of any person.
Restricted — written approval required
- Gambling, betting, lotteries and prize competitions (licensing evidence required).
- Adult content and services (lawful, age-verified only).
- Cryptocurrency exchanges, custody or token sales.
- Financial services: lending, investments, money transmission, insurance.
- Pharmaceuticals, supplements and age-restricted goods (alcohol, tobacco, vaping).
- Marketplaces and platforms onboarding their own sellers.
- Charities and fundraising (registration evidence required).
